"Insan" follows the lives of three men whose paths intersect due to their individual struggles. Amjad (Akshay Kumar) is a courageous auto-rickshaw driver who is searching for his missing wife, while Avinash (Ajay Devgn) is a former police officer grappling with the death of his wife and his desire for vengeance against a terrorist named Azhar, who he believes is responsible. Meanwhile, Rahul (Tusshar Kapoor), an aspiring singer, faces challenges in his career and love life.
The story takes a turn when Azhar resurfaces, threatening the city with a terror attack. As the three men come together, they find themselves entangled in a battle against Azhar, with each character's personal motivations driving them.
